One of the outstanding features of the PERFECTIM SYSTEM is the unusual control afforded the dentist in influencing the flow of the impression material. Because it is static when placed on tissue or in the tray, the material will only flow when pressure is applied. Thus the usual dripping, sagging, slumping and gagging is eliminated.
PERFECTIM IMPRESSION MATERIALS:
UNIVERSAL BLUE VELVET (order No. 7800)
Due to the hardness of 75 Durometer the ideal auto mix putty substitute: suitable as tray material or for the triple tray technique.30 SEC BLUE VELVET (order No. 7801)
Fast and precise: the right thing for partial impressions and bite registration (85 Durometer)FLEXI VELVET (order No. 7802)
Soft and flexible (40 Durometer), ideal for full or partial endentulous impressions. No distortion of soft tissue, post insertion sore spots are reduced or eliminated.90 SEC FLEXI VELVET (order No. 21-300550)
The fast version of FLEXI VELVET: shorter working time, shorter setting time but with the same indication range.SINGLE PHASE (order No. 21-300700)
The typical material for the mono phase technique: suitable as syringe and tray material (60 Durometer).FINAL WASH (order No. 21-300800)
Excellent material for minute details with outstanding tear strength and resiliency. Ideal syringe material to be combined with all PERFECTIM components.DISPENSOR (order No. 7806)
INTRA-ORAL TIPS (order No. 21-300045)
MIXING TIPS FOR CARTRIDGES (order No. 721-300015)
PUTTY TYPE (order No. 21-300050) Typical tray material for simultaneaously mixing and two-step technique.
Clinical Features of PERFECTIM Impression System

Available in viscosities that allow for operator technique flexibility.
Odor and taste free.
Easy handling properties including mixing, placement in the mouth and clean-up.
Working and set times are preset, so operator error is eliminated.
Can be immersed in aqueous disinfectants without any dimensional change.
Outstanding physical properties of flow, tear strength, permanent deformation and flexibility.
Dimensional stability is excellent, resulting in positive casts that can be poured minutes or days after impression is taken.
Can be silver or copper plated.
Never reported to have caused patient sensitivities or allergic reaction.

NOW IS THE TIME TO RE-EXAMINE THE IMPRESSION MATERIAL YOU USE FOR EDENTULOUS IMPRESSIONS.
J. MORITA USA, INC. introduces an innovative full denture impression technique using the new PERFECTIM™ SYSTEM. Jeffrey Hoos, D.M.D. of Stratford, CT has developed a method for fitting prosthesis with negligible post insertion adjustments due to sore spots. One of the outstanding features of the PERFECTIM SYSTEM is the unusual control afforded the dentist in influencing the tissue or in the tray, the material will only flow when pressure is applied. Thus the usual dripping, sagging, slumping and gagging associated with traditional impression material is eliminated.
• Slide 1 - Edentulous maxillary jaw. • Slide 2 - Try a properly sized stock or custom tray into position. Relieve any areas of the tray where interference with tissue or muscle attachments is observed. After correction, paint the tray with vinyl adhesive and allow to dry for a minimum of 5 minutes.
• Slide 3 -A cartridge of Universal Blue Velvet in the dispensing gun is extruded directly into the vestibular areas of the maxillary jaw. Patient-held cheek retractors are employed to aid this procedure. Slide 4 - insert the previously prepared tray into position and have the patient go through all facial and lip movements. when cured, a completed border molded tray will be obtained that has been achieved in a totally passive environment.
• Slide 5 - The border molded tray is now carefully filled with Flexi-Velvet and the tray is reinserted into position in the mouth. The flow of the Flexi-Velvet is controlled solely by the amount of pressure applied.
After removal, the impression should be dried and a small amount of Flexi-Velvet should be applied in the post dam area. The impression should be reinserted and allowed to cure. The denture base should be reinserted and require few (if any) insertion adjustments if the vertical dimension and centric occlusion are established correctly. Using the same technique, excellent fitting mandibular full dentures are achievable.
However, the border molding procedure must be accomplished around the entire perimeter of the tray. Dr. Hoos credits the success of this procedure to two of the PERFECTIM materials, namely Universal Blue Velvet (75 durometer) and Flexi-Velvet (40 durometer). Universal Blue Velvet and Flexi-Velvet are available in 160 ml tube sets or 150 ml 3 cartridge,12 mixer cartridge kits. For technical information, call 1-800-818-7788.
