J.M. Mirror

Description:
The most common mouth mirrors in use today were designed over 100 years ago… for a dentist standing, facing the patient and working alone.  Unlike most mouth mirrors, J.M. Mirrors were developed with 4-handed, seated dentistry in mind.

Indications:

  • Intraoral dentistry

Advantages:

  • 16 mm diameter; this small face maneuvers better in tight spots, but is large enough to view the tooth and the mesial and distal of adjacent teeth

  • 45° vs. 27°- Allows for proper angulations allowing the seated operator to maintain balance; NO LEANING OR RAISED ELBOWS

  • Lightweight (5 g), enables operator to have complete control while reducing finger fatigue

  • 3.5 mm handle, this length is sufficient to reflect distal of tooth #2 and #15
